1993 International Paystar Water Tender       Tender 1

This is the beast. When this truck rolls out with 4000 gallons of water, things have gotten bad. It is six wheel drive and climbs some of the toughest terrain.  It has a 4000 gallon tank and a pto driven 300 gpm pump.  This truck has been to a number of wildland fires in southwest Colorado. We are very proud to send Silverton Fire's Tender 1 out to our neighbors when needed.

This was the work horse of the department for years.  This truck was bought back in 1983 and has performed like a champ.  Engine 2  has served the department's needs for 30 years.  Besides being a front line structure pumper, she has served as a brush truck (Well Two Fire south of Durango), and a rescue truck that has been to the top of Ophir Pass for a jeep roll over.
